5 Reasons Why Your Playroom Is Always a Mess

If your playroom takes more than 5 minutes to clean up, here’s what you’re doing wrong.

1) You have too much stuff in there. Take time to declutter playrooms at least 4x a year (seasonally). Kids play better with less things.

2) Each toy doesn’t have a home. By giving each item a home, this makes putting it back much simpler and faster.

3) You’re not paying attention to it. Would you rather spend an hour each week cleaning a playroom or 5 minutes a day? Having micro tasks at home save you from those marathon cleaning sessions.

4) You’re shopping too often and not donating things enough. For every one thing you bring into your house, you should aim to give something away to keep a balance. This avoids creating overwhelmingly cluttered rooms.

5) Consider a toy rotation. If you don’t want to get rid of anything, put some toys in another room (like a storage space) and rotate out the toys as often as you’d like. By doing this, you’ll find yourself shopping for new toys a lot less.
